Yogurt with Granola and Maple Syrup
Breakfast is usually a big deal in our house. On days that we can’t cook up something nice that will last, this is a fast and nutritious solution. It is best made with simple, healthy and cheap homemade maple granola (separate recipe coming soon).
I haven’t included quantities here. Vary it depending on how hungry you are, or how sweet you are feeling.
You will need:
Plain (unsweetened) whole milk yogurt
Good Granola
Ground Flax seeds and or Chia seeds
Maple Syrup
Optional - chopped banana or other fruit
Just spoon the plain yogurt in a bowl, pour syrup over it and then add granola to supply some crunch. If you aren’t using our homemade granola recipe, sprinkle some flax and or chia seeds on for some nutritious texture. I barely mix mine. The contrasting sweetness of the syrup and plain yogurt make for some really nice bites. Banana or blueberries make a great add while you are putting in the granola.
